Some of you are just like me who loves BB cream and wanting to try every single BB creams out there. hehe
One of the questions I've been asked often is which BB cream is better: L'egere or BRTC? Well, I happen to like both of them equally. I know. It's the most horrible thing isn't it? Why can't one of them just really sucks so I don't have to spent extra $$. :(....anyway, I'm gonna break down some of the positive and negative points of each BB cream for you. Hopefully, it'll be helpful for you when deciding which one to buy.
Even when you lightly blend it onto your skin, the shades remain the same. This really scares me at first about the L'egere. The shade is much darker than my skin tone and at that time I reallyyyyy didn't want a fake tan!
Voila!!! So my fake tan scare was over after 20 seconds of blending and rubbing it into my skin. Well, maybe not rub because we wouldn't want to harshly rub our skin...it creates wrinkles. And believe me, no one want wrinkles if we could help it.
Anyway, click on the pics and take a close look at it. Could you tell the difference between the two if I didn't cleverly draw the black line on it? Bet ya could......if you really squinted those eyes hard!!! jk. Pls don't do that, you may need ray ban glasses afterward O_O
Now lets talk about the difference between the two shall we?
1. Shade: Their shades are very similar as you can see from the pics. The only difference is BRTC is a little shinnier than Legere.
2. Consistency: BRTC is thick, L'egere is light. And L'egere feels cooler when apply on.....cool as in "cold cool" not "looking cool" get it? Good! Cause I don't know a better word to explain.
3. Blending: Both are pretty much similar. Legere is a little bit more easy to blend since it's lighter in consistency and much "cooler" hehe.
4. Coverage: BRTC beats Legere on this one. BRTC cover your pimples, blackheads, whiteheads, freckles, milia...you name it. Legere only cover your.....well, it really doesn't cover much of anything. It only gives you a very natural glow. Except, when you apply like 3-5 layers onto your skin that's when you start covering.
Overall Thoughts: Seems like BRTC is a better cream right? well wrong! I only wear BRTC on days which I know I will perhaps have to take pictures. Like when dinning with my girlfriends and snap, one of them just happened to bring a camera! But hey, I got covered by BRTC....so naturally, I'm looking flawless in the pictures. As for L'egere, I happen to wear it whenever, wherever and for whichever reason I like. Meaning, it's an everyday cream for me. It's light, natural looking, and gives me a little glow. Go for Legere if what you're looking for is a natural cream for every day use. Go for BRTC if you have a lot of blemishes and need the coverage and don't mind the thickness you may feel.
***One thing I notice about most BB Creams and why I like them so much is they may appear thick and feel thick at first but natural the cream absorb into your skin and after a few hours, your skin will appear much more natural and pretty looking. BB cream were initially created for patients who recover from surgery so I suppose it has a great absorbency and healing affect? I'm not sure about the healing affect but I'm satisfy with the absorbency alone....just my 2 cents :)***
