Lioele BB Cream Review

The packaging on Lioele BB Cream is a little bit deceiving...anything that's pink suppose to be good right? Well, in this case, NO.

This BB cream reminds me so much of MAC foundation. If you've used MAC foundation and you're in love with it, then this is for you. But if you're like me who thinks MAC is a little bit thick and unnatural looking then this is exactly like it.

Here's the ingredient list. Again, it has titanium dioxide. So does it protects from sun damage? Any chem/bio major here? please help! I'm clueless. The package doesn't say anything about SPF :/

Lioele BB Cream Review

I must admit, this BB is great for taking picture. Just like MAC. It has great coverage and covers almost all of your blemishes...so when you take pictures, your skin appears flawless..

Here's a really really REALLY close up/high resolution pic. So you can get an idea why I'm not so much into it...
Lioele BB Cream Review

What I like about Lioele Beyond the Solution BB Cream:
+It has great coverage. Even better than BRTC bb cream.
+Great for taking pictures. I noticed that my skin looks flawless on camera with Lioele compare with other bb creams.
+Inexpensive. You can get the 50ml one for about $15 or a little less on Ebay.
+Great oil control. I only need to blot once throughout the day.
+Stay on for many hours. As you can see on the above pictures. It actually stayed on well and intact for a very long time. My skin looks almost the same several hours later.

What I don't like about Lioele BB Cream:
-It's thick. The consistency on this cream is way too thick. My skin actually feels suffocated because of its thickness.
-Doesn't blend well with skin (I have combination skin with dry spot on my cheeks) and looks unnatural up close. If you clicked on the last photo, you can see how unnatural it looks on me.
-Not available in many shades.

Overall, this Lioele BB cream disappointed me. I don't think I'll purchase this again. For me, it's very unnatural looking and way too thick to be wearing everyday. But if you're looking for great coverage. This BB does just that!

  1. You're right, Pink is really pretty... and it's very frustrating if it does not work or if it's really bad. :)

  2. I struggle with mac foundation time to time but most of the time I like it! :) I think it's the studio sculpt one that's a little tough to work with.. it's just so THICK!

  3. The primer is actually the photo finish primer one and I really like that primer :D This one just has their artificial light in it but it doesn't really show up? o_O! haha, but none the less, I still like it and I'll be alternating between my primers because now I have like a million @_@

  4. Titanium dioxide is the active ingredient in physical sunscreens. I'm not sure why the company didn't say so, but maybe the bb cream doesn't contain enough titanium dioxide to protect much. :x Who knows.

Anyway, you look great though :D

  8. Thank you very much for this review. I had a hard time finding reviews on Lioele's BB cream. I am glad that I found yours.

I have also tried a sample of Lioele's Beyond Solution BB cream. I have to agree with you. I am not a big fan of it either. My skin broke out because of it. Although I love its coverage since it covered my dark pigmented acne scars, it is not worth it if it causes acne. Also, it didn't do much for my skin. It is very similar to a regular foundation which only provides coverage. I have to make a note that it's oil control is mediocre, considering that I have an extremely oily skin. But, its oil control is better than Missha's Perfect Cover and Hanskin's Gold Caviar (other BB cream's that I have tried).

However, I have tried the Liole's Triple Solution. I must say that it is amazing. I have been using this product for a month now, and I haven't broken out. In fact, it cleared up my acne and lightened my acne scars. It's coverage is heavy just like the Beyond Solution. It is thick but my skin can benefit from it at least. Also, the oil control is amazing. It can last for 15 hours. I don't even have to reapply the product. Even though my skin complexion is dark (no. 23 for Missha's), Lioele's Triple Solution matches my skin. At first, it seems really light on my skin. But, after a few seconds, the color blends well into my skin tone; thus, making it look natural.

  9. Oh, I just ordered this after hearing so many good reviews on it. This is the first one I stumbled upon that's negative so now I'm a little bit scared to try it. I was looking for something that provided natural coverage and one that wouldn't break me out. I read in the comments it made someone break out. :(

  10. Titanium dioxide is an ingredient in sunscreen due to its use as an opaquant in pharmaceutical ingredients which includes cosmetic creams.

By the way, I love your posts. I'm also hunting BB creams suited to my skin. Your reviews are a great help. Wish me luck =)

  12. Hello, I have a Master's degree in Cosmetic Science. The thing with Titanium Dioxide is that it has 2 purposes, 1) as a colorant (white), 2) as an SPF. However, 1% TiO2 is maybe 3 SPF units. In the ingredient list it is listed 3rd, which means it is a primary ingredient, but it doesn't say what that % is. I would guess no more than 3 or 5 %, unless it is really whitening. So, you will get some UVB protection, but not a lot, and no UVA protection. I would use a real sunscreen with this product.

  13. Have you tried the Missha BB Creams?

  14. The algae extract is what's breaking people out. On a scale of 1-5 for causing acne, it's rated a 5!

I always check my product ingredients against this list and find that I am able to avoid cosmetic acne.
