"Microdermabrasion (often referred to as Microderm) is a family of cosmetic procedures popular in day spas, doctors' practices, and medical spas in which the stratum corneum (dead outermost surface of the skin) is partially or completely removed by light abrasion, to remove sun-damaged skin and to remove or lessen scars and dark spots on the skin." Wikipedia
A single Microdermabrasion treatment at the spas ranging anywhere between $100-150 depending on certain areas. So for many who do not have the time or the luxury to enjoy treatments at day spas, the alternative would be home microdermabrasion. Although, at home treatment may not be as strong or powerful as the professional system, it does show promising results for many and not to mention the low cost.
I did my homework and found out that one of the greatest drugstore brand for Microdermabrasion treatment, according to many, is RoC.

So lets take a look at this beauty, shall we?............
It comes in a round packaging with 24 pads or cleansing disks
Available at many drugstores for $10
This is what it contains:
How this work...
Well, each pad/disk comes in two sides and a pocket...
The Crystal side is the exfoliating side. It has Crystalex micro-crystals that cleanse while providing a gentle microdermabrasion action to wipe away impurities and dead skin cells.
And the Diamond side is the conditioning side. It contains moisturizers to leave skin feeling soft and smooth. As you can see, the pocket is also on this side.
did I like it? Well, I can't say on that since I didn't actually try it. You see, being a wonderful daughter I am, I gave my Mom facial massage every once in a blue moon. And I guess that wasn't enough for her as she loves to constantly reminded me the horrific picture of old age...always pointing out the wrinkles on her forehead, the drooping eyes, the sagging skin...yes, she's a MEAN mom. But being a WONDERFUL daughter that I am, instead of ignoring her complaints, I gave her RoC Microdermabrasion treatments. Hey! it's cheaper than botox!
So how did she like it? After the first treatment, she thought it's wonderful. It tightened her skin and made it feels very soft. She begged me to feel her skin, which I thought was soft but not as soft as mine. I made a deal with her too. No more aging horror and I'll make sure she'll have enough in her drawer. It's a win-win situation, you see. She got what she wants and I got rid of the DRAMA.
it's a "definitely repurchase"!
