Update: Konad Stamping Nail Art

Some of you asked if I've tried the stamping nail art from Konad. Well, the answer is yes but I wouldn't recommend buying it from them. I tried it on my nails twice. First time, I did it myself but for some reason the polish doesn't stick to the stamp. So I'm guessing that I must have done something wrong and so I asked my sister to do it for me. But still, the polish doesn't stick to the stamp hence no arts on nails :(

A friend of mine who works at her mom's beauty supply said that the kit I got is pretty basic and cheap. They don't sell nail stuff at her store but she knows a lot of beauty supply that carry similar kits. She said the polish they sent to me is not the special nail polish that would stick to the stamp; it's just the regular nail polish that you could find anywhere. Also, the scraper I got is made of plastic whereas, the scraper she have seen is made of metal. She told me to buy the special nail polish to see if it works, if not, then I have to buy a different scraper.

So I went through all these hassle and still have no arts on my nails!!! I do not recommend buying it through Konad.com. I'm not going to bother contacting them because I know in the end I will be the one one wasting time. If you have read my previous post, their customer service is horrible; they do not response to messages and emails. And now, they sent me a kit that is USELESS in every sense. Thank God that I didn't buy a much more expensive kit from them.

  16. Hi! I think you guys has got it all wrong, that is why you failed to put art on your nails. Konad is and international brand accepted worldwide. U see how could it sell if it does not work. I brought the set and is save me time and money compare to go to saloon.

Initially I got the same problem just like you guys, but i call to ask why it look so easy but i cannot do it? So guys, the answer is do not press too hard and turn your hand left and right as you can only pick it once. So, just roll the stamp over from left to right or right to left. That's all you need to know.

Do not give up, we learn more throught exploring. Hope this tips works for you guys. Bye-bye.

  17. You need to file the stamp first, if you do not it won't pick up the polish!

  18. you have to file the stamp with a filer for about twenty- thirty seconds first :]

  19. hmmmm i am having the same prob too. i have used the stamp for quite many times and recently the colors just refused to stick to the stamp, and i wasted so much of the special polish just to experiment. i will try filing the stamp first and see if it works. thanks for sharing this problem and i know i m not alone now :)

  20. Hi girls! The first time you use the products and every time you are doing your nails, you need to clean them with acetone (without vitamins or oils or something else, just pure acetone) because otherwise the nail polish won't stick to the stamp.

  21. just one question. did you removed the plastic sheet in the metal image plate? i didn't removed mine when i tried it for the first few times and that's the reason why the polish didn't transfered to the stamper. i also have a plastic scraper and it works fine and ordinary nail lacquer still do work on konad stamping thingies
