The first time I heard of mineral makeup was several years ago on the shopping channel. It was an advertisement for Sheer Cover Mineral Makeup. Although I was very convinced with the ad, I didn't buy it. The first reason was because I have too many powder/foundation in my drawers at that time and I need to used it up. The second reason was it sounds too good to be true. And lastly, I've bought so many products on the shopping channel; most of the time the results was far from what I expected. Until several months ago, my skin began to dried up due to the changes in weather. My usual sheer powder doesn't seemed to work as well. My skin became coarsed and dried. So I decided to switch to mineral makeup. I had my hands on Bare Minerals and have been very satisfied with the results. Here are some of the pros and cons of the that I've experienced:
Cons:
-Does not give a lot of coverage
-Doesn't seem to blend with concealer
Pros:
-The texture is very light which gives a natural glow
-Does not clogged pores
-Less breakouts
-Better sun protection
Facts about Mineral Products:
-Does not contains perfumes, talc, alcohol, dyes, mineral oil or
preservatives.
-Contain minerals like titanium, gold, zinc, magnesium and aluminum
which naturally relax, refresh and rejuvenate the skin.
-Better wrinkles prevention compare to traditional powders.
-Contain zinc oxide which offers natural UVA-UVB protection.
-Companies claim that you can actually go to sleep with the product;
that is if you need to.
-#1 recommended dermatologist.
So overall, I like my mineral makeup. I might switch to a different
brand later since Bare Escentuals is a little bit pricey compare to
the other mineral products.
