Healthy drink for beautiful skin

On my trip to Vietnam several years ago, I've noticed that one of friends has such beautiful and smooth skin. At first I thought that it's because she rarely spent time out in the sun and that she must have used expensive skin care products. But none of that was the case since she later told me that even though she's very big on beauty stuffs she would not spent money on expensive products. She believes beauty starts from within, so she tipped me on one of her favs drink recipes. Anyway, I
recently saw a video posted on youtube, which is similar to the one that my friend told me about. The video has more detailed but it's in Vietnamese, so if you understand the language, you can go here: "http://www.youtube.com/v/yrvvCg1YXoo&hl=en.

Here's my quick version of the recipe:
1-2 cucumber, 1 tablespoon of honey, 1 teaspoon of turmeric. Now all the ingredients have to be as natural as possible, that means it has to be 100% pure with no additive flavors. Placed all the ingredients in a blender and blend it until smoothed.

The youtube video features the recipe with added lemon to avoid the color of the blended cucumber from changing. However, it's not necessary if you're going to drink it right after. Also, the sizes of the ingredients should vary with your taste. I always preferred more honey in my cup. hehe.

  1. Hi, I've recently started reading your blog and it's great! But I was curious about the drink recipe. I don't know much vietnamese but I think the video is referencing ginger, not turmeric. Anyway, I blended the cucumber and tumeric powder and honey and it came out more like a dip and not a drink. Any tips??

    Love your blog!

  2. Hi there, thank you for visiting my blog.

Actually, it's turmeric. He said, "nghe" which would be tumeric in English. It's also made more sense since turmeric is known for its antiseptic properties, such as, burns, scars, and bruises.

Also, I believe you're using a blender instead of a juicer that's why it came out as a thick paste like a dipping sauce instead of liquid.
